Hong Kong through my lens

Hi folks,

I’m now back in the English countryside after 2 weeks of resting/working in Hong Kong.

I know Asia’s World city intimately as I’ve lived there before and go back whenever I have a chance. This time, instead of the usual images of skyscrapers illuminating the skies or the crowded street, I wanted to convey images that were reflective of a simpler Hong Kong; one where the pace of life is slowed down and the surrounding environment less imposing.

I also wanted to build images where no person could be seen which was a challenge in one of the most densely populated area in the world. I’m happy with my first results however this project is far from being finalised and it will probably require a few trips back to Hong Kong to do so.

In the meantime, here’s a very small sample of the images I took. I hope you will like them.

Let me know what you think…

Next week I will be in the small country of Belgium but more on this in my next post.

Keep you posted.

I love the one of the rocks by the sea – the colours are dream-like.

  2. Thanks Theviewfrommybalcony. I am keeping my favorite picture of the rocks by the sea for a future wallpaper so watch this space 😉

  3. I love the building ! the contrast between the sky and the clear light building is really great !

  4. Thanks Seb, I have more pics like this in my collections so might be able to do something about it at some point.
