Sophie in the city

Hi Folks,

As I mentioned in my previous post, we are now living in Hong Kong, Asia’s World City.  The pace of life here is somewhat different from the pleasant English countryside where we have raised our daughter, Sophie, for the last three years (although she was born in Hong Kong). Watching her grow up in the green hills of England has been one of the most satisfying moments in my life as I was fortunate enough to take a sabbatical and become a full-time dad-at-home. (My wife and I strongly believe that you can’t outsource parenthood, especially in these so critical early years). Thanks to this experience, Sophie and I have created a solid bond, allowing me to capture some key moments of her discovering, once more, this fascinating part of the world.

A tram arrives.
When is the underground train coming?
In a little girl’s eyes, the Hong Kong skyline is no match for ferries. View of Hong Kong from Tsim Sha Tsui.

More on a future event and other things in the next post.
